Pacific University Boxer Alumni Dinner

Pacific University asked us to cover their annual alumni dinner held at the Japanese Cultural Center. The alumni dinner is a way for the university to say thank you to its alumni for their support, as well as renewing connections between friends and family of Pacific. The university band flew down from Oregon to perform at the event with some lively music. Kumu Mapuana De Silva opened the evening with an oli to bless the event, and President Hallick accepted a proclamation for the school, on behalf of the State of Hawaii. The big surprise of the night was when Jeremy Vernon ’00, proposed to his girlfriend, getting down on one knee in front of everyone.
