Brittney and Ben met in San Diego while attending college, through a business fraternity. What began as a friendship shared between Big and Little overtime grew into a more meaningful connection which would lay the foundation for things to come. Though the years, Brittney stayed in California to progress her career, and Ben began his military journey which would take him from Alabama, to Florida, and finally to Arizona. Though the distance was tough and the destination uncertain, the experience proved to the two of them that they were ready to take the next step. Taking her back to where it all began, Ben proposed to Brittney on Aug 19, 2017, at the Embarcadero Marina Parks in San Diego.
