The burgundy color represents the season of Christmas because that is the month Jared proposed to Frances. The Christmas season is special for them as well because it was the time they were first introduced together at their work Christmas party. The reason the couple decided to have it on 8th because the #8 represents eternity. They chose to have their wedding at Hale Koa because it represents their meeting at their worksite at Pearl Harbor.
