Michelle + Romney | Hawaii Wedding Photography + Hawaii Wedding Videography | Loulu Palm Estate

Michelle and Romney chose to get married in Hawaii for so many reasons. Their main priority was just to have fun and celebrate their long-term relationship with close friends and family-just have fun while enjoying each other’s company with the beauty of Hawaii surrounding them. Romney was born in Honolulu, Hawaii but moved to Kodiak, Alaska where he was raised and eventually met Michelle when they were young. Despite an enormous life changing event for Romney in 2010, while surfing in Waikiki (being paralyzed – diagnosed with Surfers Myelopathy), the couple decided Loulu Palm Estate was the right place to celebrate their life of ups and downs together.

Our team’s line of work is documenting love, and while we see how it transcends many barriers and distances, sometimes, it manifests in other ways that really touch the soul. Romney wanted to stand as much as he could during the ceremony to honor his love with Michelle, and there was no shortage of emotions from everyone there, from Michelle’s walk down to their fun-filled recessional. Navigating a completely outdoor venue like Loulu Palm was no easy feat for Romney’s wheelchair, and we wanted to give a hats-off to everyone who made this day happen 🙂
